Role description:
Arcadis is currently seeking a self-motivated, Environmental Field Technician to support our East Windsor, Fair Lawn, or Hillsboro NJ office's growing environmental project portfolio. This position consists of 100% field work, with local travel to and from job sites, with some office support. This position requires a hard-working, safe, efficient and dedicated employee that is excited to receive on the job training, working with a team, and able to work independently once trained. It will require work both independently and with other team members and may require periodic overtime and periodic non-local travel. This position offers an opportunity to learn about a wide variety of environmental projects and work with a great team.
Role accountabilities:
Primary responsibilities include:
Groundwater Monitoring Well Sampling
Soil Sampling
Remediation Injections
Community Air Monitoring
Subcontractor Oversight
Site Visits and Documentation
Additionally:
Strong communication and field documentation skills
Practice Safe Driving and possess a valid driver's License
Communicate safely and take direction
Qualifications &
Experience:
Required
Qualifications:
2 to 4 years' relevant experience
High School Degree, 2 to 4-year degrees in the Sciences a plus
Safe Driver with License
MS-Office Applications (e.g., Word, Excel)
Preferred
Qualifications:
Previous consulting experience desired
Basic mechanical and electrical skills
40 Hour HAZWOPER training
Environmental Remediation experience
Experience with maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of environmental remediation systems
Experience with contractor oversight a plus
