JDE Platform Support Engineer
The role of the JDE CNC and Platform Support Engineer is to support the Elementis implementation of JDE and to support the database and web server platforms within the organization. The CNC role serves as gatekeeper and protector of the JDE production Instance. In addition, this role also supports JDE and other platforms (SQL, DB2, Sharepoint, Showcase, OS/400, Windows, VMWare, Hyperion, IIS, Websphere, OCM and more).

Operating Systems Skill sets
Strong knowledge of Active Directory and LDAP authentication.
Ability to configure, troubleshoot and support Windows Server Operating Systems.
Ability to configure troubleshoot and support OS400 is a plus.
Knowledge of Windows scheduling and batch job support tools.
Experience with Operating System tuning and performance management tools for Windows.
Experience with WMI monitoring products.
Familiarity with Server Virtualization Technologies.
Knowledge of TCP/IP and DNS.
CNC Role Responsibilities
Responsible for maintenance, support and deployment of JDE EnterpriseOne.
Perform day-to-day support, administration and problem resolution of the applications. Also responsible for the daily maintenance, patch updates and testing.
OMW installation, setup and project promotions.
Server and client package build and deployments.
Apply ESUs, ASUs, Updates and Service Pack upgrades.
JDE Administration of security, print, batch queues, performance tuning and monitoring via SAW.
Set up and JDE manage reports.
Create and manage environments, pathcodes and instances.
Monitor and manage application system performance and availability.
Provide complete and timely support for end users.
Keep current and up-to-date with application architecture, ESU and service pack releases, functionality, and other CNC components.
Proactive performance tuning & risk mitigation.
Recommend new best practices.
Object Management Workbench administration.
Web Applications Responsibilities
Installing and configuring packaged J2EE web applications.
Installing and configuring packaged .NET/IIS web applications.
Operational support and monitoring of web applications.
Knowledge of Websphere, WebLogic, Tomcat, JBOSS or Oracle application server.
Support Portal Technologies based on: Sharepoint, Websphere Portal, Oracle Fusion.
Support Web Application clustering technologies.
Support JDE Enterprise One, ShowCase Vista, Oracle Content Server, Demantra and Hyperion Financial Management.
Experience with HTTP, FTP, SFTP, SSL, XML, JMS and SOAP.
DBMS Skill sets - optional
Understanding of industry standard DBMS?s MS-SQL, DB2 and Oracle.
High level of proficiency in SQL Server.
Support of DBMS HA technologies (RAC, SQLServer Clustering).
Scripting and/or deploying packaged software database schema.
Support and monitoring of DBMS technologies.
Operational support of batch scheduling tools (Helpsystems Robot).
Support of DBMS backup tools and agents.
Implementation and tuning of monitoring tools (Whatsup Gold, SCOM, SolarWinds).

Experience
Required:
Work experience in the role of JDE CNC. Experience in setup configuration and upgrade of JDE environments.
Preferred:
Support experience in more than one stack configuration - JDE Blue Stack (DB2, Websphere Application Server) or Green Stack (Microsoft SQL Server) or Red Stack (Oracle DB, Oracle Web Server)
Skills
Required:
JD Edwards CNC skill sets. Strong experience with OMW, Active Directory, LDAP, TCP-IP, DNS, Windows OS, Websphere Application Server.
Ability to configure, troubleshoot and support Windows Server Operating Systems.
Preferred:
BSSV, All Out security reporting, Robot, Messenger Plus, GSX/Inovis EDI .
Ability to configure troubleshoot and support OS400 is a plus. Understanding of industry standard DBMSs MS-SQL, DB2 and Oracle.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
