Position: Lead HR Business Analyst - Enterprise Systems (McGraw Hill Financial)
Description:
As Lead HR Business Analyst - Enterprise Systems (ES) you will be responsible for analyzing complex Human Resource (HR) enterprise scale problems solved with automated systems. Provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements. Provide support of multi-functional efforts to identify, interpret and produce recommendations based on HR System's needs. Write detailed design specifications based on requirements and defining systems. You will work closely with ES team to ensure products and capabilities are delivered according to the business need. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure capabilities are developed according to market need. Advise business groups by providing technical and strategic direction to identify and address business issues and opportunities. Ensure that policies and procedures align with corporate vision, ES architecture, strategy & technology standards.
Specifically you will:
Represent ES within HR's business teams by maintaining a high degree of visibility within the business and attending business meetings and appropriate management forums, providing a central point of information for all related IT activities.
Anticipate and represent the business needs and interests within ES, contributing to appropriate ES team, operational and development meetings.
Play a leading role in problem resolution by maintaining a detailed knowledge of key HR business systems processes and HR initiatives (both operational performance and progress of ongoing development).
Provide up to date detailed understanding of both HR and ES strategies.
Guide HR business to develop processes and systems solutions that satisfy both tactical and strategic business needs.
Manage business demand by facilitating communication between the HR and ES on work intake, impact analysis, and priority setting of HR projects.
Collaborate with Enterprise Architects to develop information technology architecture models to fit HR business needs.
Engage and assist the operational and commercial relationship management of HR third party suppliers and proactively support any Service Level Agreement negotiations.
Interact with HR business area leaders & teams to identify, define, document & develop support strategy, roadmap and support needs.
Participate in HR team, project and design reviews to ensure deadlines are met and standards are followed.
Practice HR Financial Services subject matter expertise on core business application concepts and design.
Communicate complex HR business needs in a non-technical and simplified manner to the ES technology teams.
Create and define test plans with ES QA team.
Employ transformation/six sigma approaches and processes.
In this role you are primarily responsible for:
Supporting;
HR architecture, strategy & technology standards
Business communication including HR Dashboard & Analytics.
Influencing: the following:
Definition and adherence to HR ES governance & reporting standards
ES leadership decisions impacting HR support
Work prioritization process.
Identifying processes, deliverables, and providing input in order to:
Identify, define and document new HR opportunities & requirements
Support rationalizing the HR portfolio; identify unused HR applications and technologies
Consolidate expenditure by reducing duplication and redundancy across HR capabilities
Qualifications
8 plus years' experience working on large scale Human Resource systems and processes.
8 plus years' experience working in an HR Business Systems Analyst role
Experience with creating structure out of varying levels of unstructured information
Excellent organization, verbal and written communication skills to explain project goals and inspire support
Strong presentation skills
Extensive use of Microsoft office and project planning tools
Experience with Agile methodologies
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Experience in change management projects
A bachelor's degree
