We have an opening for an experienced, innovative, strategic Jr. Application Security Analyst in our East Windsor, NJ or NYC, NY office. Does this sound like you?
The Jr Application Security Analyst will assist in theplanning, developing and implementation of the Application Security Assuranceand Vulnerability Management Programs.
Critical Functions:
Partnerwith development teams to implement asecurity SDLC application
Coordinatedynamic and static application vulnerability scans with application teams
Workwith application and system owners, and development teams to accuratelydocument system deficiencies, recommend solutions, and track remediationactivities
Promotegood security practices and design security frameworks with application teams
Support network vulnerability efforts andanalysis
Assistin performing manual application and network security assessments (penetrationtests), when required
Supportdelivery of security awareness training
Assistin evaluation of security risks and promote recommendations to secureinformation while continuing to align with business needs
Periodicallyconduct information security risk assessments to determine the degree ofcompliance with MHE information security requirements
Assistin implementation and monitoring of cybersecurity tools
A successful candidate will have:
Bachelor'sdegree in related field preferred
1 years in information technology field (security, development or systemadministration)
Knowledgeand understanding of information security concepts
Able to communicate effectively with personneland clients on all levels
Demonstratedability to facilitate coordination of processes and work collaboratively
Able to differentiate between a significantissue, a minor weakness, and a false positive.
Strong problem-solving skills with a focus onachieving results
A successful candidate may have:
Familiarity with common programming languages (java, php, sql, python, ruby, html, etc.)
Projectmanagement knowledge
Exposure to vulnerability management and penetrationtesting tools
Applicationcoding experience is a plus

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
