CBIZ KA Consulting Services, LLC (CBIZ), a leader in providing customized financial solutions to healthcare providers, is expanding its credentialed staff to perform inpatient audits to support coding and DRG assignments based on clinical documentation.
CBIZ is seeking contract consultants that possess an understanding of Medicare principles of reimbursement, DRG assignment, clinical documentation, superior reasoning and analytical skills, strong presentation skills and a solid professional attitude.
Essential Functions and Primary Duties
Perform all aspects of client field work meeting client objectives as defined in scope of services under the direct supervision of senior consultant and above
Apply area of expertise relative to client engagements and perpetually build knowledge base and thus strengthening area of expertis
Execute solid analysis, delivering creative and practical solutions for client engagements
Deliver urgent responses to existing client inquiries
Attain revenue objectives
Adhere to engagement budget constraints and complete assigned tasks within the time requested
Maintain systems proficiency to enhance client services delivery
Participate in business development activities to include memberships in qualified organizations (alumni associations, chamber of commerce, networking groups, etc.) or regular business contacts with peers capable or eventually capable of referring potential engagements and cross serve opportunities
Responsible for meeting annual sales goals if applicable to position
Additional responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications Required
3 years recent inpatient hospital coding in an acute care setting with RHIA/RHIT, CCS or CDIP/ACDIS,
Broad knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS coding, DRGs and prospective payment systems,
Knowledge and experience working with computer systems for coding,
Attention to detail and excellent communication skills,
Ability to work independently,
Consulting experience is a plus.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
